Our Story
I taught myself to sew as a pre-teen, the way many of us do… YouTube tutorials, seam rippers, and a lot of fabric I shouldn’t have cut into. I just dove in and figured it out as I went.
Years later, I would start There’s A Pattern for That, a series where I dig into ready-to-wear garments and find a sewing pattern to match. Through that work, I’ve continued to sift through pages and pages of cheap patterns with AI generated images that don’t match the pattern. And I hate that!!!
It’s hard to find the good stuff when it’s buried under, well, everything else. So, I created Biased.
A place where designers deserve better, and so do the people trying to find their work.
I’m not just here as a pattern designer, but as someone who has spent years paying attention, and cares deeply about this craft and the designers who are a part of it. This is just the beginning…

We'd rather have fewer listings that are genuinely worth your time than thousands that aren't. Every designer on Biased has been reviewed before their first pattern goes live.
Transparent Fees
We take 5%. That’s it. Great work should come with fair compensation, and the people putting real craft into their patterns shouldn’t be giving most of it away.
