Buying Patterns

How it works

Biased is a curated marketplace of sewing patterns from independent designers. Every designer on the platform has been reviewed before their first pattern goes live, so when you find something you love, you can buy it with confidence.

Patterns are digital downloads. Once your payment is confirmed, you'll receive a link to download your files directly from your account.

Finding patterns

You can browse patterns via filters. Each listing includes:

• A description of the pattern and finished garment
• Size range and finished measurements
• File formats available (A0, Letter/A4, Projector)
• Whether the pattern carries a Pattern Tested badge
• Designer information and their full shop

Before you buy

Please read each listing carefully before purchasing. Pay attention to:

• Size range: check the finished measurements, not just the labeled sizes
• Skill level: designers indicate the recommended experience level
• File format: make sure the format works for your printer or projector setup
• Fabric requirements: listed on every pattern

If you have a question about a pattern before buying, you can message the designer directly through their listing page.

Downloading your pattern

After purchase, your pattern will be available in your account under My Purchases. You can download your files at any time. We recommend saving a copy to your own device or cloud storage, Biased cannot guarantee file availability indefinitely.

If you have trouble downloading a file, contact us at info@shopbiased.com and we'll sort it out.

Licenses

When you buy a pattern on Biased, you're purchasing a personal license to use it. You may sew and sell a reasonable number of finished garments. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the pattern file itself. See our full Terms & Conditions for details.

Refunds

All sales are final once a file has been downloaded, as patterns are digital products. If your file is corrupted, fails to download, or the listing materially misrepresented the pattern, please contact us at info@shopbiased.com within 14 days and we'll make it right.
